• 1996 Currencies Direct is founded, and we make our very first money transfer

• 1999 We open our first European branch in Torrevieja, Spain

• 2004 We open our office in Cape Town, South Africa

• 2005 We expand our operations and open our office in Mumbai

• 2005 We make it onto the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 list

• 2007 We open our office in the USA

• 2008 Our online money transfer service launches

• 2009 The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) authorise us

• 2010 We achieve the highest possible credit rating, level 1, with Dun & Bradstreet

• 2012 Our group is recognised as a Global Growth Company by the World Economic Forum

• 2012 We appoint PwC as our auditors

• 2013 Our employee numbers exceed 250

• 2013 We expand our operations to Malta and Ireland

• 2016 We launch the best money transfer mobile app on the market

• 2016 We win the MoneyAge ‘Money transfer provider of the year’ award

• 2018 Our 16th branch in Southern Europe opens, bringing the number of branches to 23

• 2018 Our 250,000th customer sends money overseas
